SD1's at Billings 1

Those British SD-1 owners are really spoilt with this meeting. For us Dutch it still is a long trip!. This year we didn't have a chance to organize a trip to Billings, but as things go, next year we will be there!!. So see you guys in 1999 ???.   Some Billings memorabilia.   THE place to be is the annual rover meeting in Billings. You can expect to see lots, lots and LOTS of SD-1's here..from the bad to the beautiful. Here are a few of the beautiful ones.......   A favourite among the more customized SD1's is this huge Sierra Cosworth spoiler. Well you certainly got enough downforce at speed with this contraption and it looks mightily impressive. Does someone know if you have to uprate the rear suspension because of the downforce and weight? Also look at the gigantic rear light cluster, you certainly don't overlook this one in the dark!!   Today more popular on meetings then when it was in regular use. But I guess it must have been really nice to drive this police car for your work!   Another SD-1 with the Sierra spoiler. And a really superb paint job!!! Look at the round rear lights!!. The front of a Ferrari Daytona already looked like an SD1, now also the rear side of the Ferrari looks like a SD1........ Or is it the other way round?
