The second National Rover SD1 day took place on the 8th of september in again the Beer brewery "De Hopbel" in Peize. This day was to never forget. Over 80 car's and at least 200 people came to the High north of our country. Something the organisation did not expect at all.
At two o'clock the complete carparking was full. Special for this meeting the Promotec company from Groningen came with a lorry full of equipment. In this lorry was a complete videowall. During the afternoon movies of the SD1 where shown on the screen. It was very plesant and there where "many looks under hoods".
Hello!!! Can I pass? Can somebody remove the Volvo?
We also had the election of the nicest car of the Netherlands. First price winner was Gert v/d/ Vijver with a Red Vitesse with under the hood a 4.5 litre V8.
After the present distribution the organisation made a site seeing trip around the country side. The end was the location of "De Grote Markt" in Groningen.
What does all these car's do at the bus lane!! What is going to happen!!!
Our chairman Rene Winters became three years older as he has to climb the Martini tower. This where 567 stairs to climb! But the result was there!
Congratulations Rene with this fabulous result. A special day that will always be remembered.
